By uniting venues, organizations, and safety professionals, we provide the universal frameworks, comprehensive education, and ethical certifications necessary to create risk-aware environments for all participants.
Standards of Practice
Tiered Certification Model
Our system ensures that safety professionals and organizations are vetted, trained, and qualified for the specific risks they manage.
Associate Monitor (ADM)
The foundational safety certification for general play areas. Focuses on consent observation, hygiene, and basic hazard recognition.

- Background Check (FBI/Level 1)
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
Certified Monitor (CDM)
Advanced risk management for "edge play" environments. Covers fire, suspension, breath play, and medical scene oversight.

Master Monitor (MDM)
Leadership certification for dungeon operations, Psychological First Aid, and crisis management command.

Code of Ethics
Primacy of Consent
The Dungeon Monitor must always prioritize the revocation of consent above all play. "No" is absolute and requires immediate scene termination.
Sobriety Mandate
Zero tolerance for intoxication while on duty. Immediate dismissal and registry suspension applies to any violations.
Confidentiality
DMs shall not disclose identities or play styles of attendees except where legally mandated (e.g., threat to life or felony in progress).
Neutrality
DMs shall not use their authority to solicit play or partners during their shift. Objective observation is paramount.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Committee
The "Brain" of the Alliance. A data-driven committee that performs Job Task Analysis (JTA) to determine exam content, update safety standards, and vet curriculum updates. Members are vetted for deep domain expertise and operate under a "Double-Blind" ledger to protect professional identities.

Notice of Non-Vocational Status
These courses are intended for personal enrichment and recreational safety only. Completion of these courses does not qualify the student for employment, nor does it prepare the student for any specific state licensure. This institution does not offer job placement services. 'Dungeon Monitor' is a volunteer role within private social clubs and is not a recognized occupation for gainful employment.
Furthermore, all First Aid and CPR trainings coordinated by NKSA are conducted through approved, recognized programs that are already certified. Facilitated background checks are conducted through the FBI and result in the issuance of a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card upon approval.

The NKSA is NOT a law enforcement agency. We cannot investigate crimes, pursue criminal charges, or provide legal advice. Our jurisdiction is strictly limited to enforcing the NKSA Code of Ethics and Safety Standards among our certified members and accredited organizations.
We can only sanction or revoke certification for member non-compliance. If you are a victim of a crime, please contact local law enforcement.
